Aylesbury derby preview: Fifth time lucky as Moles entertain Ducks

For the fifth time in four months, Aylesbury FC will attempt to host Aylesbury United for the season’s second Aylesbury derby later today, Tuesday.

The previous four attempts at getting this game played have all been foiled, the first three falling foul of the great British weather, and the fourth abandoned at half-time due to floodlight failure.

But tonight’s game looks set to go ahead, barring any unforeseen late problems, and those postponements may play into Aylesbury United’s hands.

The Ducks have discovered their form at just the right time with three straight wins lifting them four points clear of the relegation zone in Southern League Division One Central.

Aylesbury FC are still chasing a play-off spot but need victory tonight to put pressure on the top five following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Ware.

After the abandonment of the previous game due to floodlight failure, the admission prices for tonight are as follows:

If supporters kept either their ticket stub or a programme from the game then entry tonight will be FREE.

All other supporters can pay what they want with the minimum price being £1.00.

The bar will be open from 6.30pm ahead of kick-off at 7.45pm.
