Athletic held by Kidlington as visitors hit back late on

Athletic took an early lead through Sam Joliffe who was on hand to convert a Kieran Turner free-kick from close range.

But their visitors from Oxford deservedly drew level a minute into added time at the end of the game.

Athletic will now hope that their demanding close season preparations will stand them in good stead for the upcoming campaign which starts tomorrow night with a visit to Hatfield Town for a Herts Charity Cup match.

Tring’s league season starts on Saturday when they entertain Hoddesdon Town.
