ADL round-up: Haddenham to face Rivets in cup final

Division Two side Haddenham progressed through with few problems as they comfortably defeated FC Mandeville Reserves 4-1 after Andrew Lambie netted a hat-trick and Sam Hodges scored.

Rivets, meanwhile, needed a 90th minute Chris Topping penalty to see off Division Two basement side Wingrave Reserves.

In the other cup game, this seasons cup specialists St Johns Sports beat Oving FC 4-2 to reach the Tom Sparkes League Cup semi-finals with Ian Pearce (2) Kirsten Edworthy and Flavio Darmiso netting.

Back in the ADL Premier Division, APBS are still chasing down leaders Haddenham Utd after a 7-2 away win at Pond Park. Pat Callaghan’s treble and braces for Lewis Creser and Liam McElhinney puts APBS five points behind Haddenham with three games in hand.

Pond Park, in contrast, are seemingly doomed to the drop unless they win their final game.

Aylesbury Dynamos finally found their feet with a 2-0 win against Wendover thanks to goals from Lenroy Wilson and Chris Shennan.

FC Mandeville beat Bucks CC 5-2, Rob Jolly (3), Dom Mitchell and Stuart Creaser scoring, while Walton Court Wanderers beat Long Marston 3-2 which means three points separated third place from seventh.

The Division One title battle is a two-horse race between St Johns Sports and Long Crendon after the latter ended New Zealand’s hopes with a 2-0 win; the goals coming from Ryan Scott.

Tring Town AFC and FC Spandits will also have to try again next year as they drew 1-1 despite Tring peppering the away side’s goal.

Bucks CC Reserves showed they were always too good to go down with a 5-2 win over Wingrave as Sam Elliott, Jay Hollihead, Charlie Donnachie. Dave Hackett and Lee Matthews all scored, while Luke Hall and Ian Chiarello netted for Wingrave.

It’s all change again in the Division Two promotion race, although Quainton still seem nailed on for the title following a 3-0 win over Spandits Reserves in a game which saw Chris Hance, Luke Powell and Matt Bradbury all on target.

Rivets Sports are back into second place after Ludgershall threw away the lead via Luis Da Silva to Wendover Reserves who won 2-1 thanks to Archie White’s brace.

Rivets themselves beat Long Crendon Reserves 2-0 after James Mabaudi and Matt Du Prez netted.

The one game in Division Three was an eventful affair.

Great Milton had 10 men versus Aylesbury Dynamos Reserves who raced into 3-0 lead inside 25 minutes through Stuart Bedford and two from Jens Von Haefon.

Milton’s 11th man then turned up before Aylesbury lost a man due to a moment of madness from the right-back. As a result, Milton fought back and scored twice, only for Dynamos to hold on for an eighth straight win.
