Double delight as Luke storms to Barnstaple Half Marathon triumph
This result comes on the back of another fine victory in the Leighton Buzzard 10-miler the previous weekend when Luke came home in 56:20 – some 50 seconds ahead of the second-placed runner.
After his Barnstaple success, Luke commented on how pleased he was with his last two results, saying: “Training has been a bit patchy; now that we have a young son, Rowan, training has to be fitted around him and my wife and just when I can do it – which often means pounding the streets of Tring late in the evening!”
