The ADL league was hit again by bad weather this weekend.
The horrid weather called a number of games off in neighbouring Leagues last weekend, albeit the rain played more havoc for most as of the 15 scheduled Aylesbury & District League games, only six took place.

The big game of the day saw unbeaten Premier Division leaders Stoke Mandeville host Division Two leaders Plough Penguins, who are also unbeaten in the league, in the Marsworth Senior Cup.

On a day to play football on the floor, both sides did just that and a 4-0 win for Mandeville didn't tell the full story, despite some great saves from Penguin stopper Hayden Rossouw.

Penguins had chances before Stoke Mandeville took control with their extra quality and experience.

Charlie Skiller, Marcus Hussey Jack Maddran and Jack Bowers were the goalscorers for Stoke Mandeville.

In the Sheffield Jackman Cup, Oving romped into the next round beating Aylesbury Royals 11-0.

Josh Dance's treble was outdone by strike partner Ian Pearce who scored a double hat-trick, Nathan Boyden and Luke Cairney with the others.

In league action, all three Premier Division games were postponed.

One Division One game took place as Stoke Mandeville Reserves made it 12 matches unbeaten with a 3-2 away win at Aylesbury Hearts.

Ethan Floyd and Harvey Fenn put Mandeville 0-2 ahead before Sina Kurdistani's second half brace, but it wasn't not enough as Quin Murray scored an 87th minute winner.

In Division Two, three games took place as the chase for second place continues to hot up.

There are two points between four sides and it's any one from five for that spot.

Oving Reserves leapfrogged three sides from fifth to second with a 3-1 win over Aylesbury Vale TT Reserves. Jay Williams made it 1-0 in the first half, Freddie Tomlin with a second half brace.

AVD Warriors are third as they beat Aylesbury Hornets Reserves 3-1 as well, Kai Borrett with another double and Owen Broughton netting.

Rivets Reserves are third with a 5-3 win over Wingrave Development in the day’s other game.
