It has been a very sad week for Aylesbury Vale Dynamos as the club’s vice-chairman, Steve MacDonald (Macca), passed away on Thursday, writes Iain Willcocks.

Steve had been part of the club, in various roles, for well over 20 years and had a wealth of knowledge on the club itself and local football.

He will be missed by all that knew him.

The Youth matches at the club all paid respect to ‘Macca’ with a minute’s silence before kicking off.

The current season is coming to an end for many teams now but some matches are still on.

The U17’s managed a 2-2 draw with Aston Clinton Colts in a tough game. Some excellent football was on show from both teams and they both who take a point each from the game.

The U16’s Youth had a close game with Penn & Tylers Green with only one goal. Unfortunately it was for Penn who ran out 1-0 winners.

The U11’s Dynamos were in a top of the table clash with Ickenham which literally went to the wire.

Dynamos lost their keeper with an injury early on and also missed a penalty as the score was 2-2 in the final minute.

Ickenham broke forward and scored a goal as the 60 minutes were up leaving them 3-2 winners.

The U11’s Youth also lost 3-2 at the hands of Thame. However they were 3-0 down at half time and a great second half almost saw them draw level.

The U11’s Colts were 1-0 winners in their game against Ruislip Rangers. It was also an own goal that sealed the victory and only Ruislip’s second loss of the season. A great result.

The U8’s Dynamos had mixed results in their four games against Flackwell Heath. Winning one, drawing two and losing one. A very close match saw Dynamos scoring five goals and Flackwell six.

The U8’s Youth had a much tougher encounter with a well disciplined Hazlemere team.

Despite showing grit and determination throughout, they lost all four games.

The U7’s are really starting to find their feet in their first season of football.

They were away at Tring Tornadoes and came away winning three of the games, scoring an impressive 22 goals as well. Fantastic results.
