“Venues which are, by design, crowded and where it may prove difficult to enact distancing may still not be able to re-open safely at this point, or may be able to open safely only in part,” say the Government.
What are the top theme parks saying?
Alton Towers say they are getting ready to reopen on 4 July, and ahead of their planned full reopening of the Resort, they reopened their Gardens on 6 June in line with Government guidance.
Tickets for the Gardens need to be pre-booked in advance before visiting, and a number of additional hygiene and safety measures have been introduced which you’ll see in place when you visit.

“Everything we are introducing is with your safety, and our team’s safety, as our top priority,” they say.
