The 10 most desirable toys that will top Santa's list this Christmas

Amazon's top picks for the festive season combine nostalgia and modern crazes, with L.O.L Surprise and Paw Patrol items also on the list.

And for that nostalgic hit, there is the LEGO Luigi Starter Course – an interactive and building game – and Pictionary Air Harry Potter.

The Polly Pocket Rainbow Funland Theme Park, L.O.L Surprise! Movie Making Studio and Linkimals Dance n Groove Penguin add to the list.

Matthew Redfearn, toys category manager for Amazon said: “It is always an exciting time of year when we release the top 10 toys and we hope this Christmas, unlike the last, that more families will reunite to celebrate with one another.

Other toys to feature in the top 10 include a Spidey and his Amazing Friends playset and a Little Live Pets Gotta Go Turtle.

A Batman 36 inch transforming playset, Balloon Dino and Paw Patroller 2.0 completed the top 10.

Trending machine

Following the release of the top 10 most wanted toys, Amazon has created a 'Trending Machine', where for one day only, people can pick up a top item at Observation Point on Southbank, before moving on to other cities.

Passers-by will be able to walk away with one of this year’s must-have Christmas toys for free, on a first-come first-served basis.

It will also be taken to local hospitals to share some early festive cheer with children.
