Over-55s can get a free hot drink and mince pie from Morrisons next month - here’s how

A warming festive treat is in store for Morrisons customers of a certain age next month, as the supermarket will be giving away free hot drinks and mince pies.

Customers aged 55 and over will be treated to the free giveaway at Morrisons cafes on Tuesday 3 December 2019.

The free offer was shared on the Hot UK Deals Facebook page.

The post reads, “Nobody should have to be alone over the festive season, and so to show our older customers how much we value them - and spread a little festive cheer - we’re offering all OAPs a free hot drink and mince pies.”

Senior customers (aged 55 and over) can claim the offer in the store’s cafes next month.

The freebie will be available between 2.30pm and 5.30pm on 3 December.

Customers simply need to mention the offer to staff at the till to receive their mince pie and refreshment.

Festive firsts

In the run-up to Christmas, Morrisons has also announced a new festive foodie treat for customers to enjoy, becoming the first British supermarket to launch a vegan pork pie.

In lieu of traditional ingredients, the pie instead combines soya and pea protein to form a plant-based version.

The new pies will be launched in Morrisons stores ahead of Christmas, on Monday 9 December 2019.
