American pop rockers Haim have announced an extensive UK tour in support of their third album.
Sisters Este, Daniella and Alana will be hitting the road in 2021 to perform songs from their Women in Music, Pt. III record, which was released on 26 June and reached number one in the UK charts.
The LA band will fly into the UK to kick off the six-date tour with two nights in Manchester, before taking in London, Nottingham, Glasgow, and winding up the party in Cardiff.
The full tour dates are as follows:
15 June — O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester
16 June — O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester
18 June — The O2, London
19 June — Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham
22 June — The SSE Hydro, Glasgow
23 June — Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff
Obviously, tour plans for bands have been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, and it was as recently as just a couple of weeks ago that the band told The Scotsman they didn't know when they'd be going on tour.
But with everybody crossing their fingers that restrictions will be lifted enough to allow international touring next summer, the band said they had been asking their team about touring "every day".
"Whenever it’s safe but we don’t know when that’s going to be. We ask our team every day ‘any update? What can we do?’ ‘When are we going to be able to tour?’ It’ll be whenever it’s safe."
What might they play?
The Covid-19 situation has not allowed Haim to give many of the new album's tracks a live airing, so it's hard to say just which ones they might favour in the setlist.
However, in 2018 (the last year that the band toured extensively) their 'average' setlist looked as follows:
- Don't Save Me
- Little of Your Love
- My Song 5
- Ready for You
- Want You Back
- You Never Knew
- Walking Away
- Something to Tell You
- Nothing's Wrong
- The Wire
- Found It in Silence
- Right Now
