At around 3.55pm, police were called to Desborough Recreation Ground in Fryers Lane, High Wycombe, to reports of a fight.
Police said approximately 20 – 25 youths were found in attendance and some of them were armed with weapons including baseball bats and knives.
Fortunately, no one was found to be seriously injured.
Four people were arrested following this incident; two 15-year-old boys and two 16-year-old boys from High Wycombe, all on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. Today a further three have been arrested and are currently in custody.
Sgt Darren Mitchell from High Wycombe Neighbourhood Policing said: “Officers reacted swiftly and calmly to this violent disorder and were able to break up the fight and speak to those involved. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, but there is no doubt that this incident could have escalated had police not intervened.
“Violent behaviour such as this will absolutely not be tolerated in our community. Officers remain in the area today and tomorrow speaking to residents and conducting enquiries.
