A pensioner has died after she and the woman pushing her in a wheelchair were struck by a camper van.
The 52-year-old woman was pushing the 69-year-old woman in a wheelchair when they were both hit by a red VW camper van.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene and the pensioner was rushed to Stoke Mandeville Hospital but she has since died.
The other woman suffered multiple broken bones and is being treated at the same hospital.
It happened in Stanbridge Road, Haddenham, around 1.50pm yesterday (Thursday) and police are appealing for witnesses.
The driver of the camper van has been identified but no arrests have been made.
PC Alan Turnbull, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit in Bicester, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the camper van before it happened.”
