Woman from Bicester area dies following Quainton crash

A 23-year-old woman from the Bicester area who suffered serious injuries in a two-car collision in Quainton yesterday morning has died in hospital.

The woman was driving a silver MG ZR which was involved in a collision with a red Ford Mustang in Blackgrove Road at about 7.20am.

She was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment, but died in the early hours of this morning.

The driver of the Ford Mustang, a 46-year-old man from the Aylesbury area, was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital with minor injuries following the collision, but has since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Russell Irwin is appealing for a female nurse who stopped at the scene of the collision to come forward, as well as anyone who saw the collision or either of the vehicles before the collision.

PC Irwin can be contacted via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
