Why does no one want sweet dog Bia?

A neglected Staffordshire bull terrier who has a heart of gold has been shunned by potential adoptors for a bumper 700 days.

In the time that Bia has been at RSPCA Blackberry Farm in Quainton, she has seen hundreds of dogs come and go - but she is still looking for someone to adopt her as their own.

The three-year-old was just a puppy when she arrived at the centre back in 2014.

She has been found in a severely neglected state in a back garden.

And after a stint of recovery from her ordeal, staff have tried desperately to find her a new home but with no luck.

Charlotte Wright, who works as a kennel supervisor at the centre, said: “Bia is such a sweet girl and is a keen favourite among staff and volunteers. On top of that, she is very bright and adores being around people.

“Bia has never known what life is like in a home as her previous owners kept her outside on her own. All she wants is a home with a family who loves her and where she can curl up next to someone.

“She has seen hundreds of her friends come and go while she has been in RSPCA care during her 700 days with us. It would be nice if the next dog we wave a happy goodbye to is Bia.

“We are just so desperate to find Bia the perfect forever home.”

The ideal home for Bia would be with owners who have experience with dogs and a home where she is the only dog with secondary school-aged children.

Anyone who is interested in giving Bia a home can contact Blackberry Farm on 0300 123 0752. Alternatively text HELP to 78866 to give £3.
