What's next for Friars Square's olde sweet shop unit?
A planning application has revealed what Friars Square management hope to replace the vacant Mr Simms sweetshop unit with.
Following redevelopment of the Market Square entrance the tiny unit is now located outside the main shopping centre and is opposite the new Metrobank unit.
If planning permission is granted for change of use, the facility would become a bureau de change operated by Eurochange Ltd.
Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe vacated the unit last year but had been on the site for around five years.
