Two primary schools in Buckingham are closed today, after yesterday’s flash storm caused extensive flooding in the town.
Buckingham Primary School will stay closed until it is safe to open, due to storm damage, resulting in loss of electricity and flooding throughout both school buildings. While the school has no electricity, it is unable to offer remote learning.
Lace Hill Academy is closed all day today, after all the classrooms were flooded in the severe storm.
A notice from the school on the Bucks Council website says: “We are so sorry for this inconvenience and are working as fast as we can to make the building safe and usable. We will keep you updated on when school will be reopening. Home Learning will be available on the school website Thank you for your support.”
