The official Met Office warning says the following: "Some places are likely to see thunderstorms later Wednesday through to Friday with the potential for travel disruption and flooding.

"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail and strong winds.

"Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.

"Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

"There is a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads.

"There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost."

Before the potential thunder and lightning, tomorrow's forecast is for more of the same.

Tomorrow is expected to be sunny with cloudy intervals, not matching today's potential high of 26 degrees, we could still see 23 degree weather in Aylesbury tomorrow, the experts say.

Whilst the weather is expected to be slightly milder during the day tomorrow, expect a humid night's sleep, with the minimum temperature currently forecast at 13 degrees.

Despite the thunderstorm warning starting at six in the evening, Wednesday should remain a dry day in Aylesbury. The highest chance of precipitation in town is at 10pm when there's a 10% chance of rainfall.

The streak of hot 20 plus degree days in Aylesbury, could finish on Friday. The Met Office's projection's have Friday's temperature never rising above 19 degrees. Rain isn't scheduled, but it could be an overcast, cloudy day, the sky is expected to be especially grey between 1 and 4pm. Chances of precipitation are estimated at 20% and below throughout the day.

The Met Office predicts similar for Saturday, the highest predicted temperature is 19 degrees again. Sunny intervals are expected in the morning, but soon the weather will become more cloudy. It might rain in the early hours, there's a 40% chance of precipitation between 4 and 7am.
