A large truck transporting a tractor and farming machinery had to be recovered by an even bigger truck after breaking down.
The tractor and machinery was being transported along the busy Weedon Road in Aylesbury this lunchtime when it broke down right next to the crossing island not far from Haydon Abbey Combined School.
A warning sign was placed in the road by the driver to alert motorists who are being forced to drive blindly into head-on traffic on the other side of the island to get past.
The broken down truck is believed to have had issues with one set of its tyres when it came to a halt outside The Ocean Wave fish and chip shop.
While it proved a pain for motorists, it made for quite an impressive sight as the heavy vehicle was lifted up by the recovery truck’s huge tow bar.
At the time of writing the truck was still blocking the Weedon Road. But it is hoped it will be moved on before the school run at 3pm when the crossing and road is at its busiest.
