The supermarket advised that customers should not consume the product, and should return them to their nearest store for a full refund.

The announcement comes shortly after Waitrose issued a recall for the Waitrose Stem Ginger Cookies product due to a packaging error. The cookies contain almonds, however these are not listed on the packaging. Customers who purchased the 02 April 2016-dated 200g packets of the cookies are being advised to return for a full refund.
