The couple came to Aylesbury in 2007 for Peter Pan, in which Daniels played Captain Hook.

The star, who said he knew Aylesbury very well and had driven his mum to Gala Bingo in the town for 30 years, joked that he’d ‘closed better places than this’ when asked whether it was an honour to be the last ever Civic star.

See our video with the magician, filmed to promote the Civic panto, in which he talks about his connections to Aylesbury and his relationship with McGee.
