Vale near top in quality of life league table

Aylesbury Vale is the 41st place best place to live in the country, according to Halifax Quality of Life survey.

This represents an improvement of three places on the previous year when it came in 44th place.

The survey is based on factors including residents’ health and life expectancy, overall wellbeing, employment, crime rates, good weather and good broadband internet access.

Neighbouring districts also performed well. South Northamptonshire is seventh, St Albans is 12th, South Oxfordshire is 21st and East Hertfordshire is 28th.

Aylesbury Vale beat Wycombe which is 46th.

Hart in north east Hampshire came top in the survey for the fourth year running, ahead of Elmbridge in Surrey with Winchester, also in Hampshire, in third place.
