UPDATED: Woman released from hospital after accident at council recycling plant

A woman has been released from hospital after an accident involving a JCB at Aylesbury Vale District Council’s waste recycling plant this morning (Wednesday).

Isabel Edgar, the district council’s operations and projects manager said: “Earlier this morning, a member of staff was injured in an accident with a loading vehicle at our waste depot.

“The depot, based at Pembroke Road in Aylesbury, has been closed temporarily.”

The member of staff was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital following the accident at around 11am.

The Health and Safety Executive has been notified and an investigation is underway.
