Celebrity DJ Dave Lee Travis has been found not guilty of indecently assaulting women.

Mr Travis, 68, who recently moved from Mentmore to a new home in Buckland near Aston Clinton, was found not guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault.

The jury at Southwark Crown Court failed to reach a decision on a further indecent assault count and one of sexual assault.

The former radio DJ will appear in court again on February 24, where he will hear if he is to face a retrial on the undecided counts.

Speaking outside court the former DJ reportedly said that he was ‘not delighted at all’ by the mixed verdict.

He said: “I’m not over the moon about any of this today.

“I don’t feel like there’s a victory in any shape or form.”

He added: “I had two trials. One trial by media and one trial by crown court, and I have to say in all honesty that I preferred the trial by the crown court.”

The alleged incidents dated from 1976 to 2008 and involved 11 women.

Mr Travis has always strongly denied the allegations.

While giving evidence in his trial he said that he felt the case would deter genuine victims of sexual abuse from coming forward.
