UPDATED: Two injured after van flips into Winslow ditch

A man and a woman have been injured after a van crashed with a car and flipped into a ditch in Winslow.

It happened shortly before noon today on the A413 Buckingham Road and two fire crews were quickly on the scene.

The woman had already escaped from the wreckage but the van driver had to be cut free before being rushed to Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

He suffered spine, neck and arm injuries but they are not thought to be life-threatening.

The woman was treated at the scene but did not need to go to hospital.

The road was closed in both directions at Furze Lane but has since reopened.
