UPDATED: Police and fire brigade service called to old Aylesbury football ground after reports of man on roof
The police and fire services were called to Aylesbury United's old football ground yesterday afternoon (Sunday) after reports that a man was on the roof of one of the stands.
One fire crew attended the incident at around 2.30pm which proved to be a false alarm.
A fire service spokesman said: “It was a false alarm with good intent.
“If you’re ever in doubt, call 999.”
A police spokesman said they ‘attended and searched the area and it was established that there was no one in the vicinity and no one injured.’
