UPDATED: Man dies in country road crash

A man has died after a crash on a country road on Monday morning.

A 45-year-old man, a passenger in one of the cars involved, died on Tuesday from his injuries.

The man was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge after the crash on Mentmore Road between Mentmore and Cheddington, near to the Mentmore Golf and Country Club.

The man was a passenger in the silver Suzuki car which collided with a yellow Nissan Kubistar van.

A 38-year-old man driving the Nissan Kubistar was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious injuries but remains in a stable condition.

The driver of the Suzuki Swift, a 22-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to Stoke Mandeville Hospital with serious injuries.

Two other men who were passengers in the Nissan were treated at the scene.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for witnesses.
