A murder investigation was launched last week following the death of the baby in Narbeth Drive on April 3.

Police were called to a house to reports that a six-month-old baby had been taken ill at around 4.30pm on that day.

Paramedics attended but sadly the baby girl died at the scene.

Following the results of the post mortem, which was inconclusive, a murder investigation was launched.

A 31-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man, both from Aylesbury, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Senior Investigating Officer, Det Chief Insp Mike Lynch said: “We understand that local residents may be concerned about what has happened. We believe this to be an isolated incident and we are conducting a full investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.

Narbeth Drive is a quiet residential street close to a family friendly park.
