Transport for Bucks, which has responsibility for all highways related issues in Buckinghamshire, were called out to 60 incidents and cleared up the debris.

No one was injured by any of the trees, and other damage around the area included dislodged wheelie bins and fallen road signs.

At a meeting of Bucks County Council’s cabinet today, Councillor Peter Hardy complimented Transport For Bucks on their speedy response, when a tree close to his home fell down.

Council leader Martin Tett also said how he had called the out of hours number over the weekend, to get assistance at a similar incident.

With high winds set to continue this week, Transport For Bucks is bracing itself for further call outs.
