No trains means replacement buses in Aylesbury handling travel between London and Birmingham this weekend
and live on Freeview channel 276
There will be no through trains between Marylebone and Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, or between Marylebone and Bicester Village and Oxford, nor between Marylebone and Birmingham.
Journey times may take longer than usual, with passengers having to make alternative changes and transfers as a result of the disruption.
Planned engineering work between Wembley and Bicester, all weekend, has caused these changes.
Chiltern Railways will be operating on an amended and reduced timetable.
Customers travelling between Marylebone and High Wycombe only should travel via Amersham and board rail replacement buses. For customers needing to travel between London, Denham, Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield, are advised to travel via Hillingdon using London Underground Metropolitan Line services to/from Baker Street.
The planned engineering falls in line with Britain’s Railway Upgrade Plan designed to improve railway tracks and subsequently the reliability of Chiltern Railway trains.
Chiltern Railway has the following message for customers using their service for essential travel in line with the UK government's current lockdown restrictions. Here is the message:
"Wear a face covering when at stations and onboard trains,
Allow extra time for their journey,
Travel during off-peak hours where possible,
Book tickets via the website or Chiltern App and use contactless payments wherever possible,
Check your journey before travelling as most journeys will be affected,
Keep a safe distance from passengers and staff in the station and onboard trains,
Regularly wash your hands before and after your journey."
