Traffic: Broken down HGV causing 'major congestion' on Oxford Road near Fowler Lights

Transport for Buckinghamshire have warned drivers to avoid the A418 on Oxford Road at the Fowler Road lights as a vehicle has broken down.

They also said recovery were working hard to help out.

The break down is causing major congestion back into the town centre, according to reports.

They asked motorists to avoid this area if possible.

Transport for Bucks tweeted:

"#A418 Oxford Road, #Aylesbury - At the Fowler Rd lights there is a broken down HGV headed out of town causing major congestion back into the town centre. Recovery are on scene but we don't know how long this will take. Please avoid area if possible."
