Tractor trek dad helps young cancer victims

A dad of two is to drive a tractor the length of the British mainland to help children facing cancer.

Peter Taylor, who lives in Aylesbury, will be taking on the marathon journey during the summer and is now appealing for people to support his fundraising venture.

The tractor will be taken to John O’Groats by lorry, where Peter will then get behind the wheel and drive it to Lands End.

He aims to set off on June 12, with the journey expected to take between five and seven days.

Peter plans to have live tracking on the tractor so people can see his progress during the journey of more than 800 miles.

Peter said: “Children With Cancer UK is really close to my heart. I think its awful that any child has to go through that and especially how hard it is for them to understand at such a young age, so trying to make even a little difference means the world to me.”

Children With Cancer UK is a national charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer and aims are to determine the causes, find cures and provide care for children with cancer. www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk
