Popstar, author and presenter Toyah Willcox has been announced as the headline act for this year’s Music in the Park.
The 56-year-old is top of the bill for the free outdoor music event in Vale Park, Aylesbury on Saturday August 29.
Toyah will be on stage at 8.30pm and she said she is very excited to be performing in the town.
Toyah said: “I am thrilled to be playing ‘Live in the Park’ in Aylesbury!
“It will be a wonderful, fun day with great music.
“It’s only 34 years since I received the FA Cup (Friars Aylesbury Cup) for selling out Friars faster than any other artist in the history of Friars….. so it’s about time I came back.”

Toyah who is best known for her 1980s solo hits including It’s a Mystery, Thunder in the Mountain sand I Want to be Free will be performing on stage following eight and a half hours of continuous live music, featuring many local bands and musicians, including soul, disco and dance group Platform Soul.
Thr group’s lead guitarist Rob Casey said: “We are very excited that Toyah will be headlining ‘Live in the Park’.
“It’s an honour to share the large outdoor stage with such a popular national star as well as a wide range of talented local artists.
“‘Live in the Park’ is going to be a great free concert in the centre of Aylesbury, it’ll be a gig to remember!”
As well as a packed programme of live music from 12 noon, there will also be a selection of traditional fun fair rides plus the mega slide for the family to enjoy.
Bars and numerous catering stalls will also be available throughout the day selling refreshments.
