Too little, too late for Tesco roundabout works in Buckingham?
Roadworks to improve the Badgers Estate and Meadway Junction across the A421 have been given the go-ahead.
And the design for new markings on the A421/A413 roundabout are close to being finalised.

But Robin Stuchbury, Bucks County Councillor for Buckingham West, thinks residents will not be satisfied because it has taken so long.
He said: “It needs to cut mustard but my personal concern is that after all this time, it will be difficult to please everybody.
“If it had happened in the order we intended it to and at the speed we wanted it to, we wouldn’t be talking about it two years after they decided to start the roadworks.”

He is not yet ‘content’ that the revised roundabout markings meet the recommendations from the audit.
But he appreciates the support from county council officers and hopes that a final design can be drawn up soon.
The roadworks are due to take place over the next fortnight.

Hide AdBadgers Estate will get a white line refresh to ‘make it safer’ and the speed limit will be painted on the road to reinforce it.
At the Meadway Junction, traffic turning towards Bicester across the widened A421 will be directed by advisory signs and markings to use the nearby roundabout to make a U-turn.
