A burglar who demanded cash from a man in a flat at the Cotton Wheel pub and pushed him down the stairs is being hunted by police.
The thief entered an upstairs flat at the pub in Jackson Road, Aylesbury, and threatened a 41-year-old man.
He demanded cash and pushed him down the stairs.
The 41-year-old, who was not injured, handed over some cash and the thief escaped through a window.
It happened At about 11.20pm yesterday and police are investigating the aggravated burglary.
Detective constable Chris Downs said: “I would like to reassure local residents that it is unusual for incidents such as this to occur in Aylesbury and that we are carrying out a thorough investigation.
“The local community will see a visible police presence in the area around the Cotton Wheel public house while we continue our enquiries.”
