Will Fisher, 17, a student at Aylesbury Grammar School, is making the trek this week from Wednesday, July 20 until Friday, July 22.

He is raising money for Project Luangwa which aims to develop the education of children by building resources such as laboratories and libraries, and also paying for training of teachers and the general cost for children to attend school.

Will, whose grandparents live in Zambia, said: “I am doing this ride for this charity because I have visited some of the areas that the charity works in and have seen first hand the incredible work they do, and was inspired to raise money for the project.”

He has been training since October and hopes to achieve his target of £1,500.
