Teeing off in style! Top golfers among visitors to new hi-tech sporting shop

Core Golf, an indoor golf facility and shop which opened last month has had a successful opening few weeks according to staff.

It contains a Zen green stage, where the contours of the green can be transformed by remote control.

This allows users to replicate every possible putting scenario from within 15 foot of the hole.

The facility also boasts ball roll software using a high-speed camera which tracks the ball for the first 16 inches of the putt both before and after the impact.

The two facilities combined create what the store describes as ‘a world-first training and analysis putting set-up.’

Facilities manager Duncan Finch said: “The first few weeks have gone really well and a lot of people have dropped in to see what we have to offer.

“We have been visited by some of the top senior professional golfers including Philip Golding who popped in after the Senior British Open.”

The shop in Station Yard, Thame, caters for everyone from beginners to tour professionals.

Mr Finch said: “We also do workshops for first-time golfers so a dad could use the facilities to teach his son for example.”
