Residents from two care homes were taken back in time for a special cream tea on board a steam train on the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway.

Freemasons from Cymbeline and Entente Cordiale Lodges, which meet in Great Kimble, put on the treat for residents of Prebendal Close in Aylesbury and Cherry Garth in Holmer Green – bringing back happy memories of when steam travel was a regular part of people’s lives and daily commute.

Charles Noxon, of Cymbeline Lodge, said: “This is one of the varied ways in which Bucks Freemasons’ core values of friendship, integrity and charity are used to benefit the local community and underline their commitment of assisting everyone from the very young to the very old.”
