A tasty looking line-up at this year’s food festival

A fantastic roll call of chefs will appear at this year’s Thame Food Festival on Saturday.

Raymond Blanc, Sophie Grigson, Richard Bertinet, former Masterchef winner Natalie Coleman and former Great British Bake Off winner Frances Quinn are among the star names at the popular event in the town centre which runs from 9am to 5pm.

Amongst the highlights of this year’s event will be the festival’s first ever cookery demonstration devised especially for children which will be led by Natalie Coleman and starts at 10am.

Later on the demonstration stage husband and wife team Giancarlo and Katie Caldesi cook authentic Italian dishes at 11.45am.

The afternoon highlights on the stage include the annual cook-off between The Raymond Blanc Cookery School and Aylesbury College at 2pm, Raymond Blanc at 2.45pm and Bake Off winner Frances Quinn at 3.45pm.

There will also be various events on the interview stage in the High Street throughout the day.

Highlights include the result of Thame’s very own baking competition The Big Thame Bake from 12noon and a session showcasing the pick of the stalls with chef Sophie Grigson and festival patron Lotte Duncan at 12.45pm.

Volunteers are also wanted to help behind the scenes on show day.
