Aylesbury-based national cancer charity, the Lymphoma Association, has received more than £6,000 through funds raised by staff members from retail stockbrokers, The Share Centre.
Richard Stone, chief executive of The Share Centre, also based in Aylesbury, presented a cheque to the association, their charity of the year for 2015, after staff members took part in a long list of fundraising activities throughout the year.
Richard said: “Over the course of 2015, employees from The Share Centre raised money by participating in 10k runs and 100k bike rides whilst collectively the team held numerous bake offs, sweepstakes, raffles and a quiz night to raise a staggering final amount of £6,230.12.
“This was way over the £5,000 target the company set at the beginning of the year.”
Stefan Antill, Community Fundraiser for the Lymphoma Association said: “It really was a pleasure for us to work with The Share Centre throughout 2015. They were enthusiastic, generous and incredibly passionate about making a difference to people affected by lymphatic cancer.
“Staff at all levels were involved and made us feel a welcome part of their office community. We can’t wait to work with them again.”
Share Centre employees voted for the Lymphoma Association, which is based in New Street, to be nominated as their charity of the year again for 2016.
