Staff threatened with machete during armed robbery in Aylesbury

Staff at an Aylesbury business were threatened with a machete and forced to open a safe during a terrifying armed robbery.

The incident happened at around 7pm on Friday when a man entered Tool Station, in Gatehouse Way.

He threatened two members of staff with a machete and forced them to open a safe and the till. He left the premises with a quantity of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

The offender is white and was wearing dark clothing. His face was partially covered by a hat and scarf.

Investigating officer Det Con Richard Bazeley said: “Detectives are investigating the incident and we are appealing for anyone with information to contact police. If you saw anything suspicious in the area of Gatehouse Way at around the time of the incident please come forward and speak to police.”
