A sporting pupil from Aylesbury reached the finals in a competition to win a trip to watch top Spanish football team Barcelona play a their home ground.
Jack Conneely, aged nine, who is in year 4 at Ashmead Combined School, has been busy competing in the Active Gamerz club and was selected to take part in the competition.
More than 1,400 children from the AG club programme have been competing over the past nine months to become the number one athlete and win the trip to see Barcelona in action at the Nou Camp stadium.
From those children, nearly 60 competed on Sunday, July 5, at the Magnet Centre in Maidenhead to reach the final eight, and Jack made it through to this final stage.
The youngsters took part in a wide variety of sports including archery, tennis and the final event, a sprint.
The finals of the AG World Championships were held on Saturday, July 11 at the same centre, where although not the winner, Jack did very well in tennis, among the sporting events that day.
