Police believe that the conviction of six men for child sexual exploitation offences in Aylesbury could be the tip of the iceberg in the town.
One of the two brave victims says that before she was 16 around 60 men abused her.
And speaking on Tuesday, Det Supt Olly Wright said: “In Aylesbury we are continuing to investigate various child sexual exploitation related offences and we are charging more people than ever before. Since April 2013 across Buckinghamshire 17 people were charged with 59 offences, one as recently as yesterday.”
The first girl was targeted when she was just 12 years old, in the toy aisle at Woolworths close to Christmas in 2006.
The youngsters were bombarded with small gifts, compliments, drink, drugs and even taxi rides to gain their trust.
