The Roald Dahl Festival on July 2 is just a few days away.

And to celebrate organiser Aylesbury Vale District Council has slashed the price of its wickedly witty workshops with prize-winning writers Jim Smith and Andy Stanton.

Tickets for the events are now half the original price at just £2.50 each. These inspirational hour-long workshops, will involve the hysterically funny authors’ reading from their hugely successful books series Barry Loser (Jim Smith) and Mr Gum (Andy Stanton).

Jim will also be teaching everyone how to draw Barry and his mates, as well as introducing everyone to Future Ratboy; the superstar superhero of his ‘fantabulous ‘new series.

Andy will have the audience giggling their way through attempting to pronounce Polly’s full name and telling stories that he wrote aged just seven.

Both authors have previously won Roald Dahl Funny prizes for their work.

Places on these workshops are limited, so fans are encouraged to book as soon as possible at www.aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk/dahl
