On Monday 15 February, whilst the road markings are being completed at Upper Winchendon, the surfacing crew will move on to a section of the A41 near Berryfields to commence an overnight surfacing scheme.

Especially at this time of year, the work undertaken is highly weather-dependent, and dates and times given are subject to change at short notice.

The works by the county council come after a short break due to the Christmas roadworks embargo and to take into account the possibility of winter weather.

Between April and Christmas last year, over £20 million was invested into road surfacing schemes countywide with TfB crews surfacing over 200 separate roads.

Mark Shaw, Cabinet Member for Transportation said: “I am delighted with what we achieved so far on this road surfacing programme. We are fortunate that the weather is being kind to us so that we can continue with the remainder of the schemes so early in the year.”
