The Servicemen Awaiting Trade Training (SATTs) along with their instructor, Cpl Greg Daly, volunteered for the task which took just two days.

Although most had very little experience of painting the work was still completed to a high standard thanks to mentoring from the more experienced personnel of Cpl Daly and AC James Tookey.

Refreshments kindly provided by school caretaker Maggie Hawes helped the job along too.

All the volunteers said that they had a great time helping the school and would happily help out again in the future.

SATT instructor Cpl Greg Daly said: “The guys have all done an amazing job. It has been a fantastic opportunity to show the new members of the Royal Air Force the importance of helping out the local community.”
