Members of Women’s Institutes across Bucks took part in a banner procession to mark the launch of an exhibition to celebrate 95 years of the federation.
More than 40 Women’s Institutes across the county took part in the march through Aylesbury from the Judges Lodgings in Walton Street to the Bucks County Museum in Church Street.
Vice-chair of the Bucks Federation of Women’s Institutes Pat Poole said: “It was a fabulous event.
“At the end of the march, we were met by the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire Francesca Skelton.
“Some of the members sung Jerusalem as they marched!
“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we were all very proud.”
The procession was designed to mark the official opening of the exhibition which runs until February 2016.
The exhibition at the museum includes early banners from WIs in Bucks.
