Budget chain Poundland has closed one of its Aylesbury stores just eight months after opening.
The store in Aylesbury Shopping Park on Cambridge Street opened on September 27 last year, creating more than 20 jobs.
It was the second Poundland to open in the town and joined the original one on the High Street.
But bosses say it was only ever a temporary store and they are currently on the hunt for new premises.
A spokesman for the company said: “Poundland can confirm its Cambridge Retail Park store has closed.
“The store was originally opened as a temporary store and we are currently in the process of looking for a new site to re-locate to.
“In the meantime customers can still use our high street store in Aylesbury.”
There has been speculation that the store will be replaced with a TK Maxx HomeSense branch, but this has not been confirmed.
