An army of vote counters are getting ready to work through the night to announce the results in the early hours of this morning at the Aylesbury Vale District Council Gateway offices.

And The Bucks Herald will be on hand to bring you the news as it happens in this year of change for both the Aylesbury and Buckingham seats, which have lost their long-standing MPs David Lidington and John Bercow.

Check out our Twitter feed @Bucks_Herald for updates and commentary from the count, and stay tuned for a series for helpful background articles, and the result itself as soon as it comes in.

Candidates Rob Butler (Conservative), Liz Hind (Labour), Steven Lambert (Lib Dem) and Coral Simpson (Green Party) have done all the campaigning they can now to win your vote, and will be waiting with their fingers and toes crossed for the results!

We will also have selected commentary from the national picture, including when those exit polls come in, which may give an indication of the result.

And not forgetting the Buckingham constituency, we will bring you those results too, as they happen!
