Det Sgt Ben Freeman said: “On behalf of Michelle’s family and Hertfordshire Constabulary I would like to thank the thousands of people across the country and further afield who have shared the appeal on social media to help trace Michelle. The support has been truly overwhelming and very much appreciated.

“We are extremely concerned for Michelle’s welfare as she suffered with post-natal depression. I would appeal directly to Michelle if she sees this appeal please make contact with your family or police to let us know you are OK. Your family are missing you desperately.

“At this time, the last sighting we have of Michelle is on the evening July 15 in Wyboston, Cambridgeshire. We know she then drove to Cambridge and since that time we have no further information on her whereabouts and her vehicle has not been traced.

“Officers have been carrying out a vast number of proactive inquiries in this and other areas but we are still keen for the appeal to be shared as widely as possible and for any sightings of Michelle or her vehicle to be called through to Herts Police on 101.”

Michelle, pictured, is white, of medium build, 5ft 3in tall, with long blonde hair.

When she was last seen she was wearing a black and beige camisole top, black jeans and black and gold sandals.

Police have confirmed that a ring found in Bournemouth with the name Michelle engraved on it does not belong to the mum.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts should call Herts Police on 101.
