Police hunt man who took £400 left at cashpoint
An opportunist thief who took £400 left at a cashpoint is being hunted by police.
Officers have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to as part of their investigation into the incident, which took place at Tesco in Tring’s London Road on Sunday, October 12.
At around 12.30pm a woman in her 40s used the supermarket’s ATM and withdrew £400, before walking away with her bank card with her but leaving the large amount of cash behind.
A man then approached the same machine and took the money, which is not thought to have been handed in to the store.
Police want to locate the man pictured as he may have witnessed what happened or have information that could assist them with their investigation into the incident.
Anyone who recognises the man or has information about the incident should call PC Toni Frost on the police non-emergency number 101, quoting the reference D3/14/537.
